Happy New Year! We’re rolling strong into 2014 and we’d just like to take a minute to talk to you all about your New Year’s Resolution (yeah, I’m capitalizing it.) A lot of people make New Year’s Resolutions, either formally or informally, and I just wanted to encourage you all to think long and hard about the one you make for this year. Of course, it would be great to dedicate 2014 to doing better at work by getting that promotion, but the key is to pick something that is under your direct control and is attainable. A promotion is great, but there are a lot of factors that go into that decision and a lot are out of your control. Instead, resolve to do something that is completely within your power, like boosting your personal sales numbers or improving your departments performance.
Also, I’d encourage you all to have a few resolutions, one for your work, one for your family, and one for your health. The start of a the new year is a great time to look at who you are as a whole and to dedicate some energy into improving that person in every way possible.
Here’s a little infographic to help get you inspired. Pay close attention especially to the “Reasons for Not Sticking to Your Resolution” section!
