Non Work Related Surfing Leads to Higher Productivity!

Apparently 54% of businesses are… WRONG! Most are under the impression that letting employees visit social media sites like Facebook and Twitter while at work causes a decrease in productivity. Seems they got it backwards!

Of course, it depends which study you look at (several purport opposing conclusions). I’m going with this one from SocialCast because the facts make sense. Keep an open mind and think about it. If workers are allowed to relax a little while at work and stay on top of social profiles, the time they actually spend working should be more efficient.

Then again, I could be wrong. Who knows? A case can be made for or against depending on who you ask and what study you reference. What do you think? Comment on our Social Media Blog. In the meantime, I’m going with this one:
