Welcome back to Tactical Tuesdays with Wiki. This week we’re not talking about a specific tip or tactic, we’re trying to change your point of view.
For years, business owners in every vertical have been told “your website is the first impression you make with customers”
But I’m here today to tell you – that’s no longer true.
Your Google My Business profile – that box of info that appears to the right side of the page when you search for the name of your business? That’s your new home page. That’s the first impression you make with potential customers.
All of the people who used to go to your site to get your phone number… They don’t need to go to your site anymore, your phone number’s right there at the top of your GMB profile.
Those people who needed your address to get directions? You guessed it – they aren’t coming to your site anymore either, cause your address is right at the top of your GMB profile too.
People can check out customer reviews, photos of your business, and even see the answers to common questions – all in your GMB profile.
So why is this important? Most businesses don’t do much with their Google My Business profiles. You need to be sure you’re absolutely rocking your profile – fill out every bit, upload awesome photos, get great reviews, answer all your questions and answers. Make sure you’re making the best first impression, because your GMB listing is your new home page.
So now it’s that time – put your hand on the screen right here…
BOOM – we totally just high-fived cause you learned something awesome.
Thanks for checking out this week’s Tactical Tuesdays with Wiki, and don’t forget to come back next week for another awesome video. See you next Tuesday!
