Secure Your WordPress Site or Blog

How secure is your site? It’s not something a lot of people think of very often. I hear it all the time as a developer. “Who would want to break into the back end up a car dealership website?”, “Who cares about my locksmithing business?”, “Is someone really after the information in the backend of my business?”

The answer is yes, yes, and yes!

Even if you feel like you have nothing special going on, you are at risk. It’s not necessarily that they want your information, there are a hundred different things hackers could do once they have control of your site, and some of them you may not even notice happening. If you use a WordPress site, you are especially at risk. Not that WordPress isn’t secure, it’s actually VERY secure…when properly set up and controlled. The trouble is that a lot of people (and businesses!) treat WordPress like a magic bullet, assuming that one secure password on their backend is enough to keep them safe forever.

Guess what? It’s not.

Don’t worry though, we have an infographic that illustrates all of the basics of WordPress security, how you can check to see if you’re compromised, and how you can make sure no one hacks you to begin with. Give it a read, and let me know if you have any security concerns. I’d be glad to help you out,  email me here!
