We have been taking some time lately to try and figure out exactly what is making pages rank in 2013. We know that content is king, social shares are important, and quality is necessary, but we have been looking for some hard numbers. Thanks to a new infographic from SearchMetrics, we have them. Let’s take a look at what is making pages rank in 2013 by analyzing what successful pages have in common. With these numbers in hand, any savvy SEO agency should be able to get a page ranking with a little effort.
The numbers are laid out nicely (if a bit small) on a new infographic. They use Spearman’s Rank Coefficient to determine the most used tactics on successful pages. Correlation doesn’t always equal causation, but in this case I’d say we can safely assume that things like Google+, number of backlinks, and length of content are truly important.
It can be a bit tricky to read if you haven’t ever dealt with this kind of rank coefficient before, so feel free to contact us by clicking right here if you need a little help breaking it all down.
