So you’ve been searching for that hilarious photo your buddy put up on Facebook last week, or you can’t seem to find that one picture from his cookout last year but you know it’s there. Not to worry thanks to Bing we now have the ability to search for photos shared by your Facebook friends. For a while now Bing has been integrating Facebook into their search engine results page. They also recently added the ability to tag friends in search results.

Both of these new features are part of the social side bar that Bing recently added to their SERP which serves certain social based search results. Initially it did serve Facebook photos as one of its features but now with one sick you can brows your friends entire album without ever leaving Bing. They have also added some thing called the Bing Friend Photos landing page. Located at bing.com/friendsphotos this page will show you a never ending scrolling slide show of all your friends photos at once. You can also view photos you were tagged in, post a comment, like or share all through Bing.

Bing has stressed that privacy is a big priority for them with these social results, so only the photos you or your friends have made viewable by others will be served on Bing. What’s cool about this new feature is that you may get a chance to see things your friends have posted that you otherwise may have missed, according to Facebook only about 16% of your friends actually see the things you post on your wall.

As much as this new feature makes searching convenient by showing you relevant images your friends may have posted, you can also easily get lost browsing in the endless sea of your friends Facebook photos, reliving memories and catching up on your ex’s exploits. Whether or not this is particularly useful is the question, would you use this Bing photo browsing feature for convenience sake rather than just going to Facebook?
