The hardest part about  Marketing Using Facebook is, arguably, building a real and active following on the social network. It’s easy enough to find poor quality likes, or to pay for likes with Facebook ads, but getting quality likes organically can be a challenge.

One of the best ways to get likes without paying for them is to simply ask your current customers to like you on Facebook. There are a couple ways to do this, but today I want to focus on posting physical signage. Clearly this will only work for brick and mortar businesses, but it’s pretty effective overall.

Where can you get custom Facebook signs? Say what you want about Facebook, but they know how to grow their brand. You can access a variety of free, customizable Facebook signs on their webpage: Get the free signs here!

The best place to post these is near the main entrance, and then anywhere that someone may be waiting for a time. It’s especially effective for service departments, long checkout lines, and really any place that you have a couple of chairs for people to take a load off. The most common reaction to waiting these days it to pull out a phone anyway, so it’ll be a short hop to your Facebook page from there. Even better, have the signs advertise specials (like the example above) so they’ll go on to see if they can get a deal on the service they came in for!
